My cat got pregnant and she had a kitten yesterday that was dead. She still looks pregnant today, but she is not laboring. She is acting protective and upset about the kitten. She is still walking around eating and drinking. Is it possible she had a premature kitten and the rest are still coming?

Yes, that is probably exactly what is happening. You’ll need to remove the kitten and bury it. She will have her other kittens when her body is ready.
