Pregnant Cat and Still Birth

our lovely cat had 5 kittens, birth started at three and ended at 10. we thought all was well and then 8 hours later she gave birth to a still birth. what should we do? how do we know if there are others inside her please?

Honestly, it can be really hard to know for sure when a cat is done.  Long periods between births are not uncommon.  As long as she is not in distress, my best advice to you would be simply to monitor her closely and be ready to take her to a vet if she does appear to be in distress.

Do she and the healthy kittens seem to be doing well?
