Good, so make the appt now for Monday, she will be done by then.
We are planning to. Thank you all for all the info.
True. Spaing while in heat is more difficult, and may be dangerous with not experienced surgeon.
So the trick is to do it after the heat ended.
That's a great idea.Good, so make the appt now for Monday, she will be done by then.
I was going to ask what kind of window I would have when it stops and when it starts up again. Searching online there are a variety of time frames.

She came back about 30 min ago. She ate some food and she keeps licking her butt area, rolling around the floor really fast, and meowing in the window. Our other cat keeps helping her lick herself as well.
Has she come back yet?
Def. in heat, but also may have done the deed too.

Thanks I will call them back tomorrow and see if i can get an appt for Monday. I will be home all day so I plan on trying to call around to get her in somewhere cheaper than the vet. Hoping I can get her in somewhere else and not have to pay the outrageous vet pricing

It can vary, but some will run it for a week and only have 2 weeks before getting it again, and in case she did have a quickie out there it's safest to get her in as soon as possible, Monday or just after.
Thanks will try the spca
Look for low cost spaying, SPCA's are low cost, etc.
Yes, vets are very expensive, and do vary a good deal though too.
It def. pays to shop around.
I know. I am going to make more calls around tomorrow to try to get sooner but right now we have May 30th. What about morning sickness? Do you know how long that would kick in? Would it be way early for that?If she has conceived, she would be about 5 weeks pregnant by the end of May. It's hard to say why she's vomiting. Make sure she stays hydrated. Maybe offer some plain chicken broth or clear pedialyte. I hope she feels better by tomorrow.
I was afraid of that. Should I worry about her lack of appetite at this point? Just want to know what to be prepared for if she isn't eating much tomorrow as well. I did see her drinking her water off and on today so I don't think the dehydration will be an issue.@milkshake
I'm revising my post to say that her lack of appetite and vomiting may well be due to the rising hormones that occur in early pregnancy. Apparently, it passes in 2-3 weeks, and she may also experience fatigue.
thank you. Hopefully she will be eating and i won't have to worry but will keep an eye on how tomorrow goesThe fact she's drinking water is very good! I would continue to offer the normal wet and dry food that she usually eats. Hopefully she will at least pick at it. Boiled chicken pieces, plain white rice, plain broth, and plain yogurt are things you can offer.
Not eating much today either. She will go and sniff it like she wants to eat it but then ends up just drinking her water. Not throwing up, or atleast I haven't found any. She has been sleeping in my room the majority of the day. She normally will come and greet the kids when they come home from school, so I should see her around in about an hour or so and I will see if i can get her to actually eat something. The fact she's drinking water is very good!
