Our cat Murphy was recently put on Prednisolone transdermal (suspected IBD). He got .1 ml twice a day to start and now is at .1 once a day and .05 once a day. Vet is weening him off to see how he does. Even tho he doesn't mind his ears being petted, and in fact likes it whether inside or outside the ear doesn't bother him at all. But it seems lately when he sees one of us coming at him with that finger cot on our finger, he gets suspicious and runs away. If it's just our finger, he doesn't mind. I know the finger cot is to protect us from absorbing the steroid into our own system but wonder if occasionally not using it, and with that small amount, can really hurt us. Anyone have any insight or experience with this? Thanks!
