Hi guys,
I was wondering of you all would mind keeping my family (and some extended family) in your thoughts/prayers this week? It's never easy to lose a loved. I think it's even more difficult when it happens around Mother's Day, which is what happened to my brother- in- law this week. My oldest sister Monica has been married to her husband, "Bubba" since I was a little toddler. So, needless to say, I don't really view him as a "brother-in-law", he's just like a brother to me! Bubba has been like a wonderful big brother to me my entire life, and we are all very close. On Thursday, Bubba's mother passed away due to complications from cancer and blood clots. It's been a very tough week on all of them. (Monica and Bubba have 3 girls (My nieces, are close in age to me. Two of my nieces also have children as well, so they are all grieving this week.) Today was the viewing, for Bubba's mom; tomorrow morning they'll have the funeral for her. Since we live a bit away from them (They're in Mississippi and we're in TN), my mom, aunt, and I went today to the viewing today (they can't get off work tomorrow for the funeral.) It really broke my heart to watch a grown man like Bubba break down and cry. I have honestly only seen him cry one other time in my life, and that was during our Nannie's funeral a few years ago. (We were all so close to my grandmother). Bubba is a wonderful brother to me, husband to my sister, and father/grandfather to my nieces and their children. He was even the very first person in the room that I saw when I woke up from my heart procedure over a year ago. Needless to say, all of us wanted to be there for him today and his momma today. I think it was even more heartbreaking that the Viewing was today, on Mother's Day. My sister Monica and their girls seem to be holding up very well thankfully, but Bubba is understandably taking it very hard. If you guys have a moment today, can you all please keep my sister, her husband, and all of their family and extended family in your prayers? And on that note, In addition to celebrating our mommas that are still around (thankful that I still have mine), I also think it's also a good time to remember all of those who have lost their wonderful moms/grandmothers and miss them dearly. It's been such a sad day. :heart3:
