Esintally, we were using a nipple shield to get her breast feeding, and they told me I could stop pumping, but because of the shield, i wasn't getting enough stimulation and my milk supply got severly depleted so she wasn't getting enough nutrtion. On top of that the weatehr went from 80s to 50s here while she was home and my house may have gotten a little too cold for her :'( exasperating the problem. So, bascially she was dehydrated.... i feel horrible about it, but I was doing as I was medically advised, and it was my persistance that got her the help she needed
Oh that's awful! It's so terrible when you think you can depend on the doctors and LCs and they screw up... I know mine didn't do anything that bad, but there were little things... Like, well, they gave me NO discharge instructions for me!

We also had a nipple shield because of latch isssues... I'm sorry they told you to stop pumping! Idiots...

At least you know you are a wonderful Momma for catching it and knowing to bring her in, and now she is getting bigger and stronger again!
