I just wanted to update you all on my Grandpa and THANK YOU for praying!
My Dad called a few minutes ago. They transferred Grandpa to a rehab center today. Dad actually put Grandpa on the phone. First I need to explain that my Grandpa is a man of few words, very few…unless it is about photography or WWII/â€[emoji]8482[/emoji]The Postâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji] (American Legion). My Grandfather is just talking up a storm! First he told me theyâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]ve got him locked in prison. Then he just kept talking!
I always tell him I love him when I talk to him. Usually his reply is ‘Yep. Same to you.â€[emoji]8482[/emoji] Once before in my entire lifetime do I remember him saying he loved me too with the actual word ‘love.â€[emoji]8482[/emoji] Today he said he loved me very much too, and that he loved me from the bottom of his heart. (Are you crying yet because I am!) I know heâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s always loved me, heâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s just never been one to express it with words like that.
I told him I had people down here praying for him and he said he was very thankful for that. My whole family is very relieved. I talked to my Grandma, Aunt and Dad and I could hear Grandpa in the background the entire time just chatting away. That is so wonderfully un-characteristic of him! My Aunt said that he is able to move his left arm much better and his speech is much better (obviously!) too. Heâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s tried to get up so they are keeping a good eye on him. He told me he canâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t wait to get home. I am so thankful to God right now for taking care of my Grandpa. I know he will help him through the rest of his recovery too.
Thank you for praying!
