My seven month old kitten is really congested. Like so much so that she is "snarfing" whenever she drinks water and makes sounds like she's slurping snot while breathing, with some bubbly sounds mixed in while purring. Combined with wheezing, coughing, and sneezing rather often (but no nose or eye drainage), I got scared and made an appointment to see the vet, but they can't see her until Wednesday afternoon.
She still plays, eats, and drinks often, but she does seem to be sleeping more. In the meantime I've been doing my best to keep her warm and ensure she drinks and eats, but is there anything I can do to maybe help her symptoms? I'm really scared of her possibly choking on her snot while I sleep or being unable to smell her food (and thus not wanting to eat). I just want her to be as comfortable as possible until the vet can see her.
Any advice would be hugely appreciated. Thank you all in advance.
