Hello, my husband and I have been lurkers on this website since Pooh found us in August of 2005. He was 6 weeks old and only 9 oz! He was dumped at the city landfill where I was working at the time. We weren't going to keep him at first because of my allergies, but found that 4 Swedish air cleaners did the trick!
They told us he was a girl when I first took him to the Vet (We live in AZ and it was August, so I had the A/C blowing right on him - my first big boo boo - who knew cats normal body temp is 102??) His name was originally Mia (soccer ball was his favorite toy) and it took us almost a week to re-name him after the vet lifted him by the tail and broke the news to us!
We found out SO much information from this website. What to expect the first days and weeks, what to feed him, etc. We would have gone looney without the tips we found here. Now he is healthy and SO spoiled. I thought I would post on his behalf and as soon as I figure out how to post pictures, I'll send a then and now.
