I whish people would understand that those animals with the most baggage are the most rewarding to get to know. It may take a while, but they make every second of the time well worth it.

Everytime I read poems like this, they always make me cry! But I read them anyway. I think our lives would be empty without our furbabies, I can't imagine a life without mine & the smiles they bring. All 3 are rescues with their own stories to tell, all I can do is hope to give them a happy ending.

I doubt Phoenix would be happy with us though - we live in a very sociable neighbourhood and there's always people coming round and nearly every holiday some family members come to stay a few days and there's nowhere for him to retreat to have a quiet five minutes.

At least Coco and Nancy (the other cats who were there when I started) have been rehomed. There's only Phoenix left now out of the cats who were there when I started.
