Hi, I have a cat about 16 years old. I have noticed his left paw at the wrist is a little bent. I took him to the vet to show him but he would not perform the act for him like he does at home, He does eat alot and drinks alot of water but maintaining his weight o.k so I decided to have the vet do a blood test for diabetes and thyroid check to see how his numbers are. After a few days the vet called and said no diabetes and that the thyroid t-4 was a little off and almost in the gray area and would like to check him again in a few months, he also said his kidneys were good. I am a little worried on this paw thing and the only info. online i can find is carpal hyper extension, i guess an x ray would be a good step but i am not quite sure it is an injury as there is no swelling nor real limping. Does anyone have any clue as to what it might be? any info. would help...Thanks so much.
