Ok, so i have two big issues..... (well, big to me anyway
)
My Mishka is doing WONDERFULLY... she is almost 6 months old now and my boyfriend and i are absolutely in love with her!
First of all.... she has gotten incredibly mischevious.....at night, we will be sound asleep and abruptly awoken to a loud CRASH... Mishka has taken a liking to climbing on EVERYTHING and knocking down whatever is in her path.
She has broken quite a few things at this point, is there anything i can do to keep her from climbing and jumping on things??? Some nights my boyfriend works, and it scares me to death when i awake to a loud crash in my empty house
On to issue number two:
Mishka is a 100% indoor kitty
today, my boyfriend was working on his car, and while he was outside, our back door blew open with the wind. Luckily, he noticed about 20 minutes after he walked out of the house, and immediately went in search of Mishka.
Sure enough.... she'd escaped, (first time she's EVER been outside in her 5 month life) he found her under a bush on the side of our house. When i came home from work he told me the story and my stomach just sank.... i litterally became ill just thinking about it. Mishka is a BEAUTIFUL Siberian kitty and i just have horrible visions of her either getting hit by a car, lost, or stolen..... i'm afraid that now she's had a taste of outside, she will be wanting more. Is there any way for me to deter her from wanting to make the great escape?????? I'm just worried sick now.
any suggestions on either of these issues would be GREATLY appreciated!!
Thanks so much (sorry this posting was a novel)
PS: i noticed that there is an article on the homepage for Siberian kittys...it accuratly states that there is no scientific proof that they are "hypo-allergenic" HOWEVER.... i have been a chronic SEVERE asthmatic since i was two years old, along with horrible horrible, severe allergies, to the point of hospitalization due to being in the same room with a pet. I have had Mishka for 3 months, with absolutely ZERO reaction. She honestly is the answer to my prayers.... i have always been an animal lover, but have always had to keep a safe distance. So, to anyone who has terrible allergies, please consider this breed, they are expensive, and most likely you will have to wait..... but they are SO INCREDIBLY worth it!!!!!!
