I don't see how you can be held responsible for your neighbor, diagnosed with psychoschizophrenia and PTSD, inappropriately calling the police. That simply isn't realistic... or being arrested because of him..
They can't (and didn't) arrest you for a cat knocking a box of files off a dresser.
I realize you are stressed and very, very tired. But now that a little time has passed since the incident, you must realize that this concern is an over-reaction.
So don't think about giving him away. Take a deep breath.someone please tell me what I can do, I am literally at my wits end. It kills me to even thin of gving him away,
Do what you need to do to have it documented that your cats are emotional therapy animals.
Continue seeking solutions to help Bandit, who is obviously either ill or isn't having his energy properly directed. If he were your child, would you be thinking this same way? Of course not.
