Texas Siamese Rescue recently took in an abused five month old kitten named Rumples.
At first, he walked on his right front elbow - it looked like joint problems on first sight. We got him in our Vet right away and they found an infection in
the joint. So after a week of aggressive IV therapy that was better but he
would not walk on the leg. We splinted. Then we went to the Surgical
Center for a consultation.
Turns out it is a botched home declaw on his right front paw - P3 and P4 are a mess, growing into his foot and the nail bed is rotten! He is trying to walk on the leg on the outside toe. So we can surgically remove the nail bed on that foot and Dr Barnstadt at the Consult Center thinks he WILL WALK on 4 LEGS AGAIN! So now we are raising funds for that - $600 will cover the surgery. We hope to save his leg and have him walking well on his foot in about 2-3 months of therapy!
If you can help with any amount at all, it would be a blessing. This little guy is so sweet and loving. He has no idea he has had it so bad all this time. He deserves so much better!!!!! Help us get him that good life!!!!!
