UPDATE: The Neuro appointment was with Dr. Skeen in Winston-Salem, NC. He suggested a spinal tap. I was very nervous for Catness at first but the Dr. assured me that a spinal tap for animals, which do not stand upright (like humans) is much easier. Afterward Catness was in good shape, and wanted to pee immediately, lol!
At 5pm after all the analysis were ran, I was thrilled to find out that there was NO SIGN OF LYMPHOMA or FIP.
The neuro said he did have too many white cells and though this may be a case of PROTAZOA INFECTION or TOXOPLASM.
He saw no organisms, but said it was worth treating with Clindamycin (ClindaCure).
Well, in less than 2 hours after 2ml of the stuff, Catness jumped off the sofa and ran upstairs! He went to the litter box and wanted on my bed next! It was amazing to see him mobile, agile and acting like a normal cat. I have him resting upstairs now and food available for him. I hope next he will eat again!
The vet says if this works, I will have a NEW KITTY in about 24 hours!
I think it is already working and so happy for my baby boy!
I am so thankful I could afford the $500 vet bills (one er vet, one reg, vet visit, and fluids daily) plus the $700 spinal tap cost. I do not work due to illness, but I will be able to skimp by and hopefully keep my kitty alive!
Thank you everyone for your help, advice adn attention. It has mean so much to me the past few days!
