Hi, so im looking to adopt this kitten but it has a missing patch of fur below its eye. Im not sure what happened and I’m afraid it’s something severe. Anyone know what it might be?

Not sure what happened. It’s not in the least severe, theres still a little scabbing but the skin is almost healed and the furs starting to grow back. Is there any trauma by the ears, or anywhere else?

It's possible the eye is tearing. If the cat is in a shelter it can be a common problem since frequently they are stressed out being in an unfamiliar environment with many other felines. The shelters where I live do a complete vet check before adopting a cat out and include a two week health check in their contract should they get sick within two weeks after being adopted. Does the place where you want to adopt this kitty offer the same services?
