I'm currently having an issue with my four month old kitten. Currently, I feed him half a 5.5oz can twice a day, once in the morning and once at night, and he seemed to be doing pretty well with that and an occasional snack of kibble for awhile (I got him when he was two months old), but now he's driving me insane. He'll scream bloody murder for kibble just hours after getting his second meal for the day, and after eating a serving he was fine (He's medically sound, no worms or the like). I've considered switching to a healthy dry food with cranberries like Goodlife, as I can give him more for the same price, but I know that wet food is much better for cats. I'm having issues affording feeding him both, but I want to make sure that I can get him the best nutrition with the money I have. Both a 7 pound bag of Goodlife and 30 cans of wet food I buy are 10 USD, but the ingredients in the Goodlife seem so much healthier. But with all the health benefits I constantly see people go on about with wet vs dry, I'm not sure if a healthier dry food is better for him than a junkier wet food. Can anyone offer some advice? I want the best I can get for my baby! The wet food I currently get is a store brand so I can't type out an exact ingredient list, but real meat isn't even the first ingredient... various meat by-products are. Not to mention that every flavor- including the chicken- has fish, as well as one of the flavors having soy... It just seems like kitty junk food to me compared to the Goodlife, it sounds like if my diet was entirely fast food!
