please help am unsure what to do

hi im sue1967 and im new here, am having a problem introducing my one year old cat sophie to our new kitten, there is an awful lot of hissing from sophie and she seems to have "" gone off" me, im terrified to let her see the kitten as im scared she will attack her, she has seen her through the bars of the car carrier and hissed, then sat staring and making weird noises from the other side of the room, i just want a happy family... help xxxx

I have three female cats who have all been introduced separately, the first introduction was pretty easy but it did take a good week, my second introduction took one month as I rehomed an older cat, the key is to be very patient and slow, dont rush things, hissing is to be expected at first, and make a big fuss of your older cat, good luck I am sure in time they will be fine.
