Hello! I have a 6 month (almost 7 month) old kitten named Espa. She's currently eating mainly Purina's Kitten Chow, and a few times a day she has a meal of chicken broth with Purina's Friskies. The chicken broth is to help her fur stay smooth and soft, so she hasn't had any trouble with hairballs so far! As for wet food, we've found her preferred taste is with beef and fish (as they seem to have more gravy and scent to them than poultry, even though she loves our homemade chicken broth).
However, I understand that kitten chow is only until kitties reach 1 years old, but I'm afraid I won't know what to give her once we reach that time, so I've been doing some research! Now, I have a part time job and am unable to really afford super high-priced, brand-named, super special organic foods. I want a simplistic food, natural, and at a reasonable price. I've had puppies before, and that taught me that purina isn't to be trusted for too long, so I'd like to stray away from that brand.
After some research, here's the dry food I found: Eagle Pack Natural Pet Food, Indoor Formula for Cats
And here's the wet food I found: Redbarn Cat Food
(These are amazon links)
Does anyone know if these are good brands or not? And are there other brands you know about that are also good? If so, links and/or prices would be much appreciated!
Thanks!~
