Thank you for testing.
Any others interested?

I have a friend who's an INFP... we've had a few debates before. It usually goes round and round in circles because he starts taking about feelings -how that applies and I want to nit pick all the details to figure out how, why, and what if of the situation. I can't figure out his logic and mine frustrates him.

As for putting on act a bit, I think any introvert has to do this. I actually wasn't sure if you would be an introvert or extrovert as you do act very out going.

according to the person who did mine [former pastor] NFs & NTs are quite often good at conversation, but [NTs in particular] the topics are frequently surface ones.
also, being that this is an internet forum, it's much easier to 'type' rather than to talk.
in the singles group he tested, there was one other NT - a guy. several people expressed surprise, as he & i were both talkers - but he pointed out that we mostly conversed about books or other 'non personal' topics.
it's not that we don't feel - it's more that we keep it to ourselves... at least, i know i do.

Exactly! Give me a subject to talk about, preferably something I'm interested in or at least know some about, and I'll talk your ear off. Make it a touchy feel-y topic and I'll give you some vague response and go quiet.
Though I fail at small talk, surprisingly. The little inane things people chat about zoom right over my head as I'm mentally off thinking about something else.

I've taken quite a few of these things over time, but I really can't remember what I usually get to say if this is it.. Some parts of it sounded a lot like me, anyway.

By my INFP profile, you'd think I was all hippy-dippy about everything, but in fact, I drive people crazy by being extremely specific and precise in some areas... and when I'm operating in a field where I don't know very much, I become very methodical, trying to make sure I identify and assess every possibility before I take action. So I'm adjusting my approach to fit the task, I guess. I imagine we all do that to some extent.

but these traits seem to fit you:
INFPs have the ability to see good in almost anyone or anything. Even for the most unlovable the INFP is wont to have pity...Their extreme depth of feeling is often hidden, even from themselves, until circumstances evoke an impassioned response...INFPs struggle with the issue of their own ethical perfection, e.g., performance of duty for the greater cause...Some INFPs have a gift for taking technical information and putting it into layman's terms.
and look how many writers are on the list!

I'm an INTJ also!

Yay for us!

"In the broadest terms, what INTJs "do" tends to be what they "know". Typical INTJ career choices are in the sciences and engineering, but they can be found wherever a combination of intellect and incisiveness are required (e.g., law, some areas of academia)."

Yay for science!

Maybe its because I'm a...
I don't think I fit mine, I must not have answered it well.

"ENTJs are decisive. They see what needs to be done, and frequently assign roles to their fellows."
I'm horribly indecisive, taking ages to make up my mind and being a constant worrier. I also have trouble letting other people have roles in my plans as I find it difficult to relinquish control, I try to do everything.
I do tend to plan creatively though. Maybe I'll try it again later
