So my cat moved into this new house, with a new cat and new dog, in the very beginning of March. He was very stressed and his immune system, understandably, took a hit. Within the first week he got an eye infection. That cleared up with an eye cream. On April 25th I found a very perfect circle on his ear and got him diagnosed for ringworm later that day. It seemed to go away with antifungal cream prescribed by his vet, but at the end of the treatment time (3 weeks) I noticed his ear still had these little dark speckles on the skin, but they weren't raised so I kept an eye on it and treated it lightly but didn't really worry about it. About a week later I noticed a pretty big, very raised, scab (about the size of a pencil eraser) on his neck. It wasn't a ring, and him and the other kitty play pretty rough, so I didn't think it was anything serious until it didn't even fade a little a few days later. I also noticed he'd been peeing on clothes which isn't his personality at all. Did an at-home test that night, confirmed he had a UTI so I brought him back to a vet and asked him check the scab, while he was at it. With the black light he confirmed that the scab was another spot of ringworm and the dark speckles on his ear were also little ringworm spots. I did another 3 weeks of treatment, both on the ear and on his neck. That was finished around a week ago, and everything seemed to be cleared up, but I discovered the neck-spot growing again and the speckles on his ears coming back this morning!!!! None of the 4 people in this house have gotten it, neither the dog nor the other cat have gotten it, it's just my kitty. Should I request an oral pill or something? I'm really really low on money so would prefer to only pay for medication and not a vet visit as well if you think that's an option. I still have cream, should I keep using that and see if it goes away? He is very fluffy and has a very thick undercoat. He's been really healthy his entire life up until march!!
TL;DR Cat had a few illnesses, despite being a healthy kitty for 4.5 years, because of stress. He got ringworm, it appeared to have cleared up with cream, it came back, it appeared to clear up with cream again, now it's back AGAIN even though he's totally relaxed and the environment is no longer stressful for him - his immune system shouldn't be bad anymore.
