Persian cats?

We recently adopted a persian cat and was wondering what to use to clean her eyes with? Also, is a metal brush better for her coat than a soft brush? Thanks!

We used to breed Himalayan's for the eye's the best we found a
soft cloth and warm water.
For the brush we like combs better than brushes we use a metal conb that we got from one of the breeders we bought the female but you
can find good ones at Petco, petsmart,etc. They are wide teeth on one end narrow on the other, alson a flea comb helps take the shedding under coat out really well.
On a Persain soft brushes don't get down in the fur like a metal
does.A Himalayan is just the color of a persain with blue eye's

I have 3 persians and I use a metal comb . First I use one comb with wide teeth and then I use the flea comb also metal . The brushes are not really good with persian fur to comb all the fur out . You can brush with a brush and is ok to do so , but the comb is doing a better job as KittenKrazy said .

I use a cotton wool pad and warm water for the eye gunk, and a metal comb + occasionally a metal brush for their fur.

Mine need brushing every 1-2 days.

I agree, Eye Envy is a great product. We used it on Kionu for only 2 days and his eyes cleared up tremendously.
