Persian cats runny eyes :(

Hello all, 

my 8 year old bi-colour Persian has always had problems with leaking eyes, we have managed it for years with eye drops and regular cleaning, however recently it has gotten very bad. His eyes get messy again within the space of about 5 hours one side seems to be worse than the other. Does anyone have any advice or anything they can recommend?

I don't have any experience eith Persians, but perhaps you could ask a local groomer.

Also, if the problem is suddenly getting worse, it may be time for a quick vet visit to rule out infections or other medical causes.

Sorry I don't have any specific advice, but I'm sure some of our other members have run into similar things and will have more ideas.
