I have a pure Persian who is about two, she is desexed and generally a very neat and tidy clean cat. She has recently been to the vet(A week ago) and had her updated shots.
Last week I also got a 12 week old british short haired kitten. The kitten is pretty much litter trained and bot cats use the same litter tray and eat from the same bowl and get on generally well.
Last night my Persian used the litter tray but then dragged her backside along the floor and the fur round her bottom was covered in lumpy faecal matter.
There were no traces of worms that I could see and I cleaned her up best I could and gave her fresh water and meat. This morning she has had the same problem where she has a lot of soild fur with lumpy faecal matter tangled. She hasnâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t had a huge change in diet, I have given her a new variety of cat food from the same manufacturer. She usually would only eat fish varieties or pet mince.
The kitten seems to be fine she is using the tray well and has only had 1 or 2 accidents.
Should I be worried about the Persian cat, she hasnâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t done this before and she is looking miserable is it worth a trip to the vet.?
