Hello,
I constantly feel mildly dizzy in my apartment. I am renting a studio that I was told had a cat in it prior to my moving in who stained the carpet with pee. The landlords had the carpet ripped out and replaced. I'm not sure if the padding was replaced. I have always noticed a very sweet, perfume type smell throughout the small studio flat. There are a couple of spots where it is very strong. A friend of mine told me he recognizes this smell very well as a perfume cover up for cat pee. It is nuclear. It doesn't go away. I had the new carpet steam cleaned and poured baking soda on it to absorb the smell. That didn't help. Does anyone know what this powerful sweet smelling substance is? Can the perfume or the cat pee it was covering up possibly be causing me to feel dizzy all of the time and what is the best way to get rid of the smell?
Thanks.
Evan
