The back paws of one of my four-month-old kittens look abnormal, and I'm not sure what caused it. I just noticed it, but she has been acting normal. Not sure if this would be connected, but I also found a lump of brown stuff on the floor which smelt like fish, which I forgot to take a picture of. It wasn't liquid, more like mush, and it left a little bit of liquid behind when I picked it up. Any ideas?

Do you have any rough floors?

It looks like a scuff mark from where she skidded on a rough surface like concrete or bare wood.

If that's true, just give basic cat first aid and keep an eye out for signs of infection, etc. If you notice any trouble, call the vet ASAP.

If all goes well, it should heal up on its own in a few weeks or so.
