I have two cats, one is about to be 5 the other is about to be 3. For the last month or two, one of them has been peeing in a corner near the front door. I am not sure who is doing it as they always follow each other around. The litter box is always clean and there but he still happens to pee in that corner. Why could this be? He eats and drinks water just fine.

Have you cleaned the spot thoroughly with an enzyme cleaner? Cats can smell their urine long after we think it's been cleaned, so you have to use and enzyme to break it down. Once they smell that this is a place they've gone before, they'll often go back to it, so a thorough soaking with cleaner is usually in order.

It gives you a good rundown of things to try in order to figure out why one of them is doing it.

Also, stress can often cause inappropriate peeing. Has anything changed in your environment or routine lately?
