I have a kitty, Toto, who my boyfriend and I adopted three months ago with another kitty. Toto is almost three years old. He goes pee in his litter box 99% of the time, but whenever we accidentally leave something soft on the floor, he pees on it! Some of the things he's peed on include a blanket, a pillow, yarn.. He's never peed on our carpet to my knowledge. He's been to the vet recently and there wasn't anything wrong that the vet could see. He seems to be fine sharing the box with our other kitty.. We wouldn't have room for another box anyways since we live in a small apartment. I've finally reached my last straw because today he peed on my entire bag full of yarn!!
I'm really hoping that someone could help! All I've been able to find is people suggesting to check for a UTI or get another litter box! I just have no clue why he seems to only want to pee on soft things when they're available while peeing in his box the rest of the time!
