I wasn't sure if this belonged in health or general.
I keep Pedialyte, unflavored, on hand for minor emergencies. I get it at a grocery store, but the bottles are pretty large and the label says to keep refrigerated and use within 48 hours once opened. I can't use a bottle that big in 48 hours. Is it potent enough to use a few weeks past, or would it be better to toss it and open a new one?

Hi, I don't know, but would a home made recipe that you can make as you need it work for you better?
Potentially! I would need info on how to store it and what the shelf life is.

I used it for my GSD before he passed six months ago and his vet cautioned me that bacteria can easily grow in bottles which have been opened, even when stored in the fridge. Do they still make the powdered version? You might be able to do the math and make smaller amounts.
