Hello everyone, I'm very new to this site.

I took one lovely kitten today, his name is Xenos (Greek name). He's settled in very well, he picked the things up which place do he should go for toilet, sleep etc so he's very smart and I was thinking he could be part Bengal because his shape of the body and coloured coat look similar to Bengal cats. I met his sibling, she have the same shapes etc as Xenos but I have no photo of Xenos's sibling (I wish I have a photo of her)... I haven't meet his mother, she died on last Sunday (Run over by car). That's why his owner give the kittens away to good homes.

The details

He is very friendly, cuddle and love to hide in hard spots. He have huge ears, his back legs are longer than his front legs and he walk like very low but it could be nervous at first when he arrived at my house.

I hope you can see the photos of Xenos... What's your opinions?

It's hard to honestly say without seeing the parents, which I know can be difficult sometimes.

I don't see any Bengal in him. He looks like a very lovely DSH Tabby and White :) I believe the markings are referred to as "macheral, or classic"? Not sure, hopefully someone can add to this.

Tabbies are awesome! My cat is Tabby and White as well!

He is an adorable, very nice domestic,  classic tabby with  white, as mentioned above. Other names for Clasic tabby is  marmored, or blotched.   When bengals carry that pattern, they are usually called for marmored.    :)   [errata - the more correct spelling is marble, not marmored.  Although its probably the same word]

This pattern here is very nice, but  classic tabby isnt so unusual, you doesnt need to be any classic or spotted tabby to be a bengal descendant.   :)

Its sooner the other way around:  it was such pretty domestics as he, who were choosen to help build up them bengals, once upon the time when the bengal breed were created, by corsing a small jungle cat with domestics.

The bengal pattern is dominant, so I presume his siblings should be tabbies - like his sis is.  And probably at least one of the parents was too....

Good luck!

ps. The colors of the tabby is black silver, I think (Im no specialist on colors, not even mentioning my so so monitor - nice to have some excuse outside my control, no?    :)    )

Sweet, his coat is black and silver but there's little light brown on his legs. I'll show it to you by using the photo of his legs.

You know what?  I think you got me here!  He has no clear cut bull-eye, so typical for the classic tabby.  Its more like the marble of bengals...  So yes, although his head  seems to be that of a sweet domestic kitten - even although these biggish ears - this here pics hints he may  after all got himself a bengal ancestor.

A bengal stud who took himself a stroll outside in the beautiful weather?

Or a result from a BYB breeder who hoped to spare himself the cost of one pure bred bengal parent? "after all tabby is dominant, so the kittens too should be bengal marbled tabbys"

I knew he have some Bengal in him but I'm not 100% about this because I'm not experience with the cat breeds and I thought it was classic tabby when some people on here said he's tabby, have no Bengal in him. Now, I think he's part Bengal (for sure).

I don't get him from the breeder, I got Xenos from the girl in kenwick for free. I believe her cat mated with Bengal stud out there in kenwick then she have two babies (Xenos and his sister).

I had two purebred bengals and they were half sisters. One had a much more domestic looking head and she was much bigger. The other was petite and had a wild - more typically bengal looking head.  I think they shared the same mother and had different fathers (I had paper somewhere). So even pure bred bengals can have more tabby domestic shaped heads, etc. Both did have the big ears.

Honestly, looking at your pictures again, I can see the bengal ears and features. Especially the one on the sofa where he is looking wild!  Also the proportions of his body, large ears and longer back legs. He is absolutely gorgeous and adorable! Haha! Exploring and then having a rest! :-)

Claud, do you have the photos of your purebred Bengal cats?

Haha yeah, in the picture he looked wild because he tried to grab his tail and started spinning after this. He started running around in my old living room, climbing up on the lounge and he's very fit!! He can catch the toys very fast!
He will roll over and lye on his back for me to rub on his belly.
Thank you :) he's very beautiful, I'm very lucky to have him.
