Hi everyone, I have a seven year old cat named Jaspurr. He goes outside for about 30 minutes to an hour every day, but he spends most of his time inside. Today we noticed that he seems to have some pain in his back. He stayed in one spot, just laying on the couch for quite a while, and didn't ask for food like he normally would. When we brought food to him he ate it, so it seems like he just doesn't want to move. We petted his head and he was fine with that, but as soon as his back was touched, he had a hissing/growling fit. Any idea what this might be? He's going to the vet at 3 p.m. today, but we are quite nervous for him

Luckily it was nothing serious! Poor baby seems to have been in an altercation outside, because the vet found a scratch on his backside... Painful (and probably a bit embarrassing) for him but fortunately it will be easily taken care of. Though he will no longer be going outside, lol.
