The bottom has an extra, thicker layer of fencing that is staked tightly into the ground and secured onto the main fencing. I don't see any way opossums or skunks could get in it, but just in case...we only leave them out in the enclosure during the day and only while we are homeOriginally Posted by strange_wings

No escapes so far...but then again, they don't really try to escape so I don't know how it would stand up against a real houdini kitty. the way the fencing is made and the poles hang over into the enclosure, I have a hard time seeing how a cat could get over the fencing from the inside.Originally Posted by KatKisses
