Our precious kitty Angel just died around noon today.
She had been sick for about two weeks, and spent last week at the vet hospital for what we thought was pheumonia. When they released her on Tuesday she seemed to be on the mend, although she still would not eat. We have spent the last week force feeding her, but in the end I guess she was just too weak. I think she just wanted to come home and die with those she loved. She is actually my 12 year old daughters cat. We knew today that she was pretty much at the end and I had called the vet to have her put down this afternoon. My dd was out side on the swing with her when Angel decided to get down. DD then took her to her room where she died in her arms. The heartbreaking part is that she had just told Angel that it was OK to go. I explained to her that I think that is what she was waiting for. I don't know if it harder to lose an animal that is 'yours' or to see your child lose their best friend. It just breaks my heart. Once my son comes home we are going to bury her in the yard next our other cat that we lost last year. DD said maybe God wanted Angel in heaven so she could tell Nayla to 'smarten up'. (We figure Nayla is there terrorizing because she was such a bitch to everyone except us). Anyway, it just feels better talking about it with those that will understand the agony. Hope this finds all with healthy, happy babies'. Give them a kiss, and please wish Angel a happy, peaceful crossing over the bridge. Thanks for listening. (looks just like our Angel)
