I feel for you! I have the exact same problem! My 8 week old kitten (who is walking along my keyboard as I type this) chews on my hair at night, but she doesn't hurt me. I tried tying my hair up in a bun, but she just chews away at whatever she can get.

I also have curly hair, but I don't use any styling products and only use natural conditioners/shampoo, so I don't know if changing shampoos will help you. I read somewhere that it's the kitten's way of showing affection and "grooming" you, really made me giggle.

Good luck, I'd love to hear it if you find a solution

Same thing happens to me too! Lately it's been at 4am because she wants breakfast. I wear my hair in a pony tail, so she has started to bite my hair, where the elastic is. I've started to say (in a firm, but not loud voice) "no", then I pull the covers over my head. This really seems to work! She's realized that this behaviour isn't making breakfast come any faster! :)

Someone also mentioned this, but you could wear a toque and tuck all your hair into it.

Best of luck! Hopefully kitty will learn soon :)
