I'm not new.. but these two I'm introducing are!!!
I've had them a couple of weeks now, and now I have finally gotten around to introducing them. After suddenly losing my first ever kitty, beautiful little Nina, to devastating FIP, the loneliness and grief was killing me, so I decided to open my home to these two. Trying to open my heart again has been A LOT harder then I expected because I miss Nina tons!! But these two are definitely helping!!
Meet Snow.. a domestic medium-long hair, she's pure white, except for some stray gray hairs on her forehead that are hard to see.. she has greennish yellow eyes. She was found with her littlermates and her gorgeous gray/white mother in some bushes.. I've seen some of her littlermates, and they are really gorgeous! She's about 6 months, but really tiny (3 pounds). She has not been spayed yet b/c she been struggling with on again, off again diaherra.. hopefully she stays strong! She loves to eat, that's for sure! She's really sweet.. the first night I had her, she slept on my face/head... at least now, she sleeps on my pillow right above my head. She's really outgoing and not scared at all in new places, and definitely a lap kitty..
Meet Audrey.. a maine coon mix, she has the softest fur and beautiful big green eyes that everyone is drawn too. She was found in an apt. parking lot along with her sister. She is also about 6 months old (5.6 pounds) and extremely playful! She will wear herself out with the feather toy.. and I think if I don't take it away she would play with it forever... she pants when she's done!! When I first got her she was scared, but once she knows her surroundings (which took a couple of hours) you see the amazing personality she has!! She always greet meet at the door with a chirping, cooing noise (which is supposedly characteristic of maine coons) and loves to lick!! It's so cute!! Also she rolls over on her stomach which is so hilarious! Often she play-attacks Snow when she's sleeping and I don't think she likes it that much.. It's funny because both Snow and I will stare at her like she's crazy when she's attacking the invisible beasts that come out of the carpet!! lol!
After losing Nina, I have taken these two in, but on a fostering basis. I am currently fostering both, and then hope to keep one of them.. I really, really, wish I could keep them both next year will be crazy for me and I know I won't be able to give both of them the attention they need (and Audrey needs a lot of attention.. lol). It's been hard because I don't know who I want to keep because I like them both. However for as long as I can, which is about until the end of the coming up summer, I am going to foster them both, unless of course they find their forever homes!!
It will be hard giving them up.. Right now I'm thinking I will probably keep Snow, because I think Audrey would do better in a family type environment where she could get tons of attention.. But it's hard to decide because everyone always comes to my place and says how beautiful they think Snow is, but leave saying I should keep Audrey because of her amazing personality.. I guess we'll see.. but until the time comes.. Snow and Audrey are my new two little kitties!!
