In my house. It's a big black one. They scare me because I got bit by one as a kid. Some people may think crickets don't bite but I swear that one did. Oh well, hopefully this cricket will bring me luck. I sure could use some.
He won't play with it. Bugs do not interest him in the least. I tried showing him the cricket and he just sat and stared at it like, "yeah, what's your point mom?"Originally Posted by strange_wings
Give it to Popsie to play with? A wild or loose cricket doesn't survive in my house, the cats catch it... then leave the dead spit covered cricket in the middle of the floor for someone to step on.
Ewww...remind me to never venture down into your basement!Originally Posted by keith p
And besides the other crickets, the black ones, we also have spiders, pillbugs, beetles, and moths during the Summer! Not for the faint of heart!
I've actually kept and bred pillbugs - for hatching turtle food, great calcium source! Beetles - of course since I breed mealworms... and the moths are an accident. I haven't found a way to completely keep the meal moths out of the worms bins.Originally Posted by keith p
