The cake looks awesome, I can totally read your manly cake-writing, and crumbs in the icing prove it is homemade with love!!!!
I would be super happy to eat a piece of such a good cake.


ps: I used to make heart shaped cakes by making one round, and one square 9". Then Id cut the round one in half, and glue with icing to 2 diagonal edges of the square piece, then cover the whole thing with icing! Also works with pizza dough

Yeppers! It will be rocking and rolling a bit because the top (now the bottom) is rounded, but cut off a bit of that hump and it will be flat on the bottom again. Then ice the top which is actually the bottom.

What a lovely thing to do. And a rectangle cake isn't ghetto! Whatever gave you that idea? Seriously, it's a beautiful cake and I know she loved it.
