I've had Lilly for a month now. For those of you who don't know her story, basically she was dumped here and it took about a month to catch her. When I finally got her, I took her to the vet and the vet said that he felt a spay scar and I also felt it. Lilly was slightly overweight when she came in, but she had eaten very well in the barn before I finally caught her. Tonight I picked her up and thought I felt a lump in her stomach. I asked John to feel it and he said he felt it move. So I rolled her onto her back and put my hand on her stomach. After several minutes I felt very clear movement against my hand, just like when I had my pregnant foster kitties and I was feeling their kittens move. That's exactly what it felt like. It was very strong and didn't feel like just a gas bubble, it felt like a head and legs.
Now, I suppose it's possible that the scar tissue is from something else, and maybe she wasn't spayed. Obviously she would have gotten pregnant before she came inside, and that was November 17th that she came inside.
But here's the part I don't get, her nipples aren't in the least way enlarged or pink. They're white and very tiny, in fact it took me quite awhile to find them and she is a short haired cat.
Obviously another trip to the vet is in order, but is it even possible for a cat to be pregnant and not have enlarged nipples?
