A couple of nights ago my cat, Mr. Kitty (1 y/o) came in after sneaking out. I knew something wasn't right when he laid down, as soon as he came in. Usually Mr. Kitty runs wildly through the door (he is a very energetic and playful cat), ready to play. As I checked him out, I quickly learned his leg was injured. Although there were no marks, he would whine and scream when I touched his back leg. I took him to the clinic the next day. The x-rays show that he has a broken femur right at the growth plate. The doctor has told me I have three options, surgery ($2500), amputation ($600), or put him down. I'm only 17, although my parents can help, we can't afford surgery. Instead, I have decided to amputate. The vet assured me he would not mind only having three legs, and after my research I would agree. I am already about $300 in, with x-rays and pain killers. With a total of $900, it is quite the chunk of money. I am asking that you take a look at my fundraiser I have created. It is already going great on its first day! I am looking to raise $500 to offset the cost. Mr. Kitty and I thank you in advance, even if you cant donate sharing the link means just as much! Thanks again!https://www.giveforward.com/fundraiser/8193/mr-kittys-leg-amputation
