I came home about 2 hours ago. I gave Kairi his food, one can of wet, some moistened dry and he ate half the can, and a few pieces of dry, and drank the water.
he played afterwards for a bit, then curled up in my sons football shoulder pads (his favorite sleeping place) and went to sleep for awhile. I went upstairs to do some laundry, and my kids started yelling-Kairi had walked into the kitchen and meowed funny, so my son picked him up and cradled him. Kairi then vomited UPWARDS onto my sons face and shirt. My daughter grabbed him as my son went reeling backwards and the kitten scratched her and went into the living room, got onto the couch and went to sleep.
I came running downstairs, Kairi was curled up on the couch, he looked at me with squinty eyes, (no 3rd eyelid or anything, just tired looking) and he went to sleep. I cleaned up the floor, the vomit was just clear water with a few chewed up pieces of dry food. He's still sleeping, and seems to be feeling better, he has since cleaned himself a bit then stretched and went back to sleep.
I wonder if he just ate too much or drank too much water? I wonder if my son picking him up would make him throw up if he had a belly full of water?
if he's not feeling better in an hour, I'm going to take him to the vet. He gets so stressed by the carrier, I don't want to stress him any more unless necessary.
My son keep apologizing for picking him up, but it's not his fault. Of course you pick up the kitten.
