Stephanie,

If the hand appears to be healing well now, you might be better off just leaving it alone. I have horrible problems with antibiotic allergies and have even gotten a Careflite ride due to one reaction! I try to never use them and it was definitely a scary challenge during chemo, as I had to be on a few different ones at different times.

Hope you're all healed very soon.

Thanks all! I normally don't have problems with antibiotics except for Sulfa drugs, but I don't think I've had to take Clindamycin previously. I can take most meds without reactions, but the pressure in the chest, chest pains, and intense pain in my upper back, shoulders, and neck was horrific! I still have a bit of discomfort when swallowing, but nothing like it was. Thankfully, I was taking something like 12 acidophilus pills a day or I probably would've had all the gastrointestinal problems I've read about!
