I've been giving foster kitty Evie some closely supervised time out of the spare room the past week. She's still pretty tense around my crew, but better than when I fostered her in the fall, so her time at the rescue was definitely beneficial.
She literally moved me to tears at one point this morning, though. I was on the couch drinking my coffee and cuddling with Claire, when I looked down and saw Evie right my feet. She was gazing up at me adoringly with those beautiful, soulful eyes. I realized how much I love that little cat and it made me even more determined to help her find that special person for her to trust and love. Just like with so many of my other fosters, I wish it could be me but, as you guys know, that's just not possible for various reasons.
Sorry to post so much about Evie. It's just that she's become so special to me and I want so badly to find her someone to love (and sing to her and tell her she's their baby doll).
