So my zo zo is about 4 years old when she was a very young kitten her eye got infected, i didnt have the money 5o take her to the vet but i kept it cleaned and used baby eye drops in it. well it went away but ever since then she has had kinda like a vain or stem like thing that has kinda grown in her eye it starts at the center and just goes all the way to the top. as far as i can tell it doesnt bother her vision at all and her eye doesnt weep or anything. i kinda just wanna know what it is. You may have to zoom in to see it but its her left eye, and it looks kinda like a vain. I was just wondering if anyone knew what it could be.

In the pic it looks cloudy but its not, its the light reflection on her eyes.

If your cat had the typical feline herpes infection (very common, and the cause of most cat blindness), then it is probably just some lingering damage from that.  If so, you might want to give her an L-lysine supplement in her food, especially if she has any eye watering going on.

The cloudiness is corneal scarring from the infection. The vein like thing sounds like persistent pupillary membrane:

My Coco has it. With her the vein like thing is black and is attached to the cornea and extends back into the eye. She also had an eye infection when she was a kitten that wasn't treated and has scarring on her cornea from it. That was before I got her.

It does appear to be "cloudy" in that picture and from what you describe it sounds like corneal scarring from that early infection in life. If the eye is really bothering Zo Zo and you think it is flaring up then she will need the vet. Has her eye changed at all recently? Or has it been that way for four years in which I would think it does not bother her. :vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes:

It doesn't bother her at all. Its just something I have been wondering about. I was concern it could cause problems in the next few years

If it is persistent pupillary membrane, according to my vet there is no need for concern.

I don't know, what I see is that there is reflection on both eyes, perhaps ceiling, that runs from top right to bottom left in pupil, green in another pupil is reflection of flash, bottom right edge of pupil has flash reflection from surface of the eye.

Outside of pupil, there can be then darker areas when one takes the photo when cat's pupil is about to grow.

Here green stuff is visible well:

Here is another sample of reflections from inside of eyes due to flash from camera:

This is how it looks when pupil is caught middle of growing:

Now here is two effects combined, bit poor pic, but maybe possible to see how there are dark cloudy stuff in his eyes:

Hopefully admin will not sue me from adding these as full size images, but I don't know if embedded images remain at full resolution, which is really required to see anything.

I don't know too much about eye issues in cats, but as a photographer what I see is light playing tricks and maybe eye being in middle of transition, but others have probably better experience with eye conditions and know what to look at to find those.

Pupil is black thing middle of eye, right? My english might fail me here once again, but you know what I mean with pupil even that might not been the proper word.
