I have been feeding my cats IAMS kitten kebbles, because the first 2 ingredients are meat and meat by products, not just corn and fillers. But the 3rd IS corn and by products aren't the best... I want my cats to be fed properly, but I'm not able to purchase food that is more expensive than the IAMS; that's about as high as I can go. I see some of you recommending Nutro to feed. Is the price comparable to that of IAMS? Why is this food better than IAMS? Do you happen to know the first few ingredients in Nutro?
And now I read this: "The idea of one pet food providing all the nutrition a companion animal will ever need for its entire life is a myth." So then what do I do? Do I use canned in addition to the kebbles, or something else? How often, and what do I do?
This is the great page I read it at, from Animal Protection Institute: http://www.api4animals.org/79.htm
I'm just confused now, that's all!
