I took Nova to the vet as she had been pregnant for at least 71 days.
Previously the vet felt her, looked at her kitty mammaries, and determined that she was pregnant.
Today, he felt her and said that her belly was smaller than what he remembered when he first told me, and then he gave her an X-ray.
I was nervous... thinking about C-sections and stillborn kittens, and vaccinations for everybody.
But when the X-ray came out it showed...
no kittens!
I was excited about the babies, but I'm more relieved than disappointed.
I made her spay appointment for Thursday, and she'll also be getting the rest of her vaccinations.
(BTW, she's 2lbs heavier than she was when I got her.
She really does "look" pregnant.
Maybe a change of diet is in order?
And, was she acting funny because she's unspayed?
Poor thing! I feel bad!)
I guess I'll just live my kitten dreams through those of you who are really expecting.
for a short wait, and healthy deliveries!
