Does anyone have this problem? In my town, we only have one veterinarian and he closes early and is not open on weekends. This has caused many problems for my family because our pets can't get care during emergencies and have died because of it. The closest vet besides the one open early is one hour away.

Do you guys have any tips on how my town could possibly attract more veterinarians to it or something along those lines? Thanks for any help.

Not really :/. It's a problem around here too. There just isn't enough business to keep more than one vet around, no way for 2 of them to make a living. The government even pays some vets to go to very rural areas that don't even have enough business for 1 vet to make decent money.

Have you asked your vet about what to do in an emergency? Most vets will make some kind of effort to help if they can. But, yeah, I've made a few hour-long trips to the emergency vet myself.
