Naturally I'm going to run out of rabbit when no one has any stock. Oddly enough, as I was scouring the internet looking for something to tide me over, I found Oliver Heritage Farms in Bradenton, Florida, which is only about two hours away from me. Here's the link:
Tampa Organic Produce and Poultry Farm - Olivor Heritage Farms
They sell ground rabbit for 5.99 a pound. I ordered five pounds as a test and shipping was $14.00.
I asked about the food prior to ordering and this is the response I got:
All of our pet foods are 100% raw ground meat, bones and organ meats. Heads and feet are removed, as are the skins. The rabbits are locally sourced if they don't come from our own farm. We don’t add anything to them. We have a ground rabbit pet food that contains bones and organs. We also sell whole rabbits. My next batch of rabbits will be available starting this Friday.
What do you guys think?
