It's a few things. First of all when I use the flash her colour looks a bit different. It is a new camera and the colour balance could be a bit different and yes she has darkened a lot since I got her. I keep thinking she's finished darkening up but then she's not.

Also because she's really shiny her colour changes a fair bit with the light.

She used to be this pale:

and now she's like this, and maybe actually a bit darker now:

her eyes have also gotten greener

I love her coloring. Its gorgeous and really shows off her markings.

That last pic you posted is so beautiful of her, she looks so regal

Hehehe don't encourage me to post kitten pics, she was so adorable. She was also spotted dynamo of fluff that turned my life upside down but it was all worth it

You can really see how pale she was

but she was absolutely adorable, that's her "pay attention to me now, okay?" face

She's not really slowed down that much
