Hi, I'm Tamara..called Nagi by my friends
I have two adorable cats..My oldest is Tifa, a grey/brown tabby with bright green eyes..She's a very small cat who loves to spend all her time with me and act as my living shadow. Actually Tifa has quite the story to her...
A few years back my 16 year old cat, Spectre unexpectedly passed away, I was of course devistated since I had had her all my life...My father was rather adament about not getting another cat for awhile, unawares that without another cat to love and care for, I couldn't possibly begin to move away from my greif. Finally, around Christmas time the next year he caved and allowed me to begin looking for another cat, preferably a kitten. So I go and see a few, but none of them are ones I instantly bond with, or what I was looking for. One night (about a week before Christmas) I get a called from my Grandmother saying the stray she had been feeding for months had finally been caught and brought out of the cold (it was -40 C that night). Apparently this cat was so shy that she would steal the toast with penut butter my grandmother would leave out for the blue jays...Well she wised up to this trick, and being kind hearted, began to leave out dry food for the poor skittish cat to much on. When I got to my grandmother's, the cat was cowering under the bed. As soon as I sat down she timidly came out and curled up in my lap, love at first sight. Never mind that I was looking for a silver tabby...She wasn't gonna let me leave without her. Granted, she hated my dad and ran under the bed when he walked into the room (she's gotten better but she still dislikes him which infuriates him to the point where he insists he hates the cat but then is caught petting her 10 minutes later) When we got home, the next day she just sat quietly on my lap all day, adjusting...A few of her ribs were sortof pushed into her body, we concluded that somewhere along the line she had gotten kicked and they had never quite healed properly...But unless you rub there constantly she is fine. Well we had her about a year and a half and then Seph came along..Seph is a grey and white cat with striped legs, a crooked tail (since birth) and orange eyes..and is unique in every way. His favorite passtimes include, playing fetch (he taught himself) causing mischeif anywhere he goes and sitting on my shoulder so he can (try to) climb up our banister..He's so full of tricks and quirky attitudes..I wouldn't trade him for the world..and he has such a vocabulary..I've never heard a cat that makes this many different sounds. Oh yeah..He's seven months old, still a baby...and about the size of a 5 month cat only much huskier. Just yesterday we had another addition to this cat family...Four kittens...And after this litter she's getting fixed...She got out and ran away for a while (I looked everywhere) I have two little brothers who can't remember to close the door...So, this time, she stays locked in my room when I'm not home so I can get her to the vet BEFORE something like this happens. But I've already secured homes for the kittens (family, friends and co-workers) so this isn't a really unplesent experiance. She had three black kittens and one black and white kittens who I will call: Cait Sith, Vinny, Squall and Auron till their new owners find better names for them..I will keep you posted...Bye bye from all us over on this end
