Hi! Just found this forum in search of trying to find some information on something one of my cat's has been doing for a while. I have two kitties, Jakers (a tabby male) and Shay (a calico female). Both are around the age of 9, and are very very spoiled and loved! Not sure if I will be able to find what I am looking for on here but figured it might be worth a shot before going in and ringing up a huge vet bill. Jakers, whom we adopted a couple of years ago after my husbands dad passed away, is always making a sound that I notice when he comes to bed, and he makes it throughout the night....not sure if he is making the sound during the day since he is usually sleeping outside or somewhere like that when the weather is nice or we are gone to work so we aren't around during the day to hear it. Anyways...the noise he is making is like a licking of lips sound, or like lip smacking sounds, like he is wetting his mouth or has to much saliva in his mouth. He seams to be healthy and happy....haven't had a chance to mention it to the vet since he was last in for his last check up. Anyways.....if anyone has any info on what it could possibly be it would be much appreciated! TIA!
